The Future of Higher Education Lies in Digital Transformation – And It’s Happening Now
At Dashboard Technology, we don’t just build technology—we help organisations transform the way they work. That’s why we are attending Digital Universities UK 2025, an event that brings together forward-thinking leaders who are shaping the future of higher education through digital innovation.
Higher education is in a paradoxical state—it is both slow to change and at the cutting edge of innovation. Universities are home to world-class research and pioneering ideas, yet internal operations often remain burdened by outdated processes, inefficiencies, and legacy systems that no longer serve the modern institution.
We work with institutions that are not just adapting to change but leading the charge in digital transformation. These are the organisations that understand that technology is not just an IT project—it is an institutional shift that requires technical implementation, cultural adoption, and strategic leadership.
Technology is the Easy Part – Culture is the Challenge
The reality is that implementing a new digital system is rarely the hardest challenge an organisation will face. The real difficulty lies in securing internal buy-in, changing mindsets, and overcoming resistance to new ways of working. Most people will continue doing things the way they always have—until something forces change, such as an external audit, increasing compliance demands, or staff burnout due to inefficient workflows.
This is where digital champions play a critical role. In every successful transformation project we’ve worked on, there have been key individuals within an institution who drive change—leaders who can see the inefficiencies, recognise the need for improvement, and push their organisations toward more effective, scalable, and automated solutions. These individuals don’t just implement software; they shape the future of their institutions.
From Days of Work to Instant Insights
We help organisations tackle the technical and cultural challenges of transformation, ensuring that digital adoption is smooth and impactful. The result? Processes that once took days are now completed instantly, reports that were never prioritised due to time constraints are now available at the click of a button. This isn’t just an efficiency gain—it’s a fundamental shift in how institutions operate.
The best part? Our customers are already proving that this approach works. They can tell you firsthand how we’ve worked with them to map out their digital transformation journey, ensuring that people, processes, and technology align for long-term success.
Why Digital Universities UK 2025 Matters
Events like Digital Universities UK 2025 are not just industry meetups—they are a crucial space for innovation. This is where higher education leaders, tech pioneers, and digital transformation advocates come together to showcase what’s possible. It’s a place where institutions that are already embracing change demonstrate the impact of new methodologies and emerging technologies.
We are attending not just to engage, but to contribute—to share insights, discuss strategies, and help institutions navigate the evolving digital landscape. If you’re attending, we’d love to connect and discuss how we can support your institution’s digital journey.
Dashboard Technology achieves Cyber Essentials Plus Certification
Cyber Essentials is a Government-backed cyber security certification scheme, developed by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and delivered by the IASME Consortium (IASME), with the goal of helping organisations protect against the majority of the most prevalent cyber attacks. Cyber Essentials certification is considered to be a fundamental step organisations can take in strengthening their cyber security posture, and allows an organisation to demonstrate their commitment to maintaining the security of their operations and their clients’ and partners’ information.
There are two levels of certification available within the Scheme – Cyber Essentials, and Cyber Essentials Plus, the higher-level certificate.
Dashboard Technology is proud to announce that we have achieved Cyber Essentials Plus certification. To do so, we underwent a comprehensive audit of our in-scope systems to verify our compliance with the scheme and effective implementation of the five technical control areas (access control, secure configuration, patch management, malware protection and firewalls). We were assessed by accredited certification body, URM Consulting Services, which also performed a full vulnerability scan.
URM’s assessor commented: “Dashboard Technology demonstrated an overall very good alignment with the Cyber Essentials security requirements.
In particular, URM identified stronger than average security update management and user access controls to be in place across the systems assessed. Dashboard Technology also showed great operational agility by quickly rectifying identified security issues, showcasing their commitment to security. Overall Dashboard’s dedication to following the Cyber Essentials security principles sets a strong example for others in their industry”.
Having certified against Cyber Essentials Plus, Dashboard Technology is now listed on IASME’s directory of certified organisations, which can be found on their website.
